Apr 15, 2014 Chrism Mass Vigil

Chrism Mass Vigil: Jesus started this nonviolence tradition during the original holy week when Jesus and his followers staged a teach-in at the temple, teaching that we should love one another inclusively just as God’s love for us is inclusive.  Teaching inclusiveness at the temple isn’t always popular, so Jesus was publicly executed within 96 hours of his teach-in.  The need for this tradition, begun by Jesus, is not ended.  Our Church continues to practice and teach exclusion.  In the Lenten spirit of penance let’s come together at the temple in the name of Jesus to ask God in prayer for an inclusive church.     4:15 to 6:15 pm, St Joseph Cathedral, 212 E Broad St, Columbus.
