Tenebrae Service: Karen M. Elliott, C.PP.S., Ph.D., will lead the Tenebrae.
The Tenebrae is a somber fourth century service, a tradition in Catholic, Lutheran and Orthodox churches; typically done on Maundy Thursday or Good Friday. It relives Holy Week’s events, the passion story, Jesus’ sufferings and death, the immense loss and spiritual darkness felt by Jesus’ followers. A good preparation for the joy of Easter.
